Physical Therapist Resident - Outpatient

Role Overview A motivated Physical Therapist Resident is sought to join an outpatient rehabilitation team, focusing on advanced clinical skills and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Participate in a comprehensive clinical education program with mentorship, didactic lectures, research, and peer collaboration.Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based therapeutic interventions across diverse settings.Oversee personalized rehabilitation programs considering physical, psychosocial, and environmental factors.Promote patient independence and coordinate multidisciplinary care towards discharge goals.Engage in professional development activities, including peer teaching and mentorship.Maintain basic computer skills and adhere to setting-specific regulations. Qualifications & Skills: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license.Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; Doctorate preferred.Enrollment in the UNM Orthopaedic PT Residency Program.Less than one year of clinical experience.BLS certification required.
