About the role

As our Physical Therapist Regional Float, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy assessment, care planning, patient treatment, and education according to professional practice guidelines defined by state and professional sources.
• Works as a collaborative team member to develop a coordinated care plan accountable to achievement of established goals.
• Completes all required documentation and billing requirements according to established local, state, and federal law.
• Applies measurable quality metrics associated with the area of active practice.
• Attends team meetings to discuss and improve program evaluation and quality measures.
• Provides supervision to physical therapy assistants and techs according to local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Stays current with evidence-based practice guidelines and new research, serving as a professional resource to other team members.

Requirements

• Physical Therapist license in Nebraska (NE) and Iowa (IA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong age-appropriate competency skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Where You'll Work

This role supports both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services across CHI Health locations throughout the Omaha metro and Southwest Iowa region. You'll provide care where needed most, gaining experience with diverse patient populations, clinical settings, and collaborative care teams.

Pay

$39.08 - $58.14 per hour. In recognition of the flexibility this role provides, you'll receive a 25% differential for all direct patient care hours, along with mileage reimbursement for eligible travel between assigned locations.
