Responsibilities
- Conducting standardized and functional PT evaluations and contributing to multidisciplinary assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy goals aligned with educational needs
- Providing direct therapy services in individual and small group formats within school settings
- Offering consultative support and training to teachers and staff on positioning, mobility, and safe student handling
- Recommending and helping implement adaptive equipment, orthotics, and mobility devices as appropriate
- Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state and school requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and child find or eligibility activities as assigned
Requirements
- Physical Therapist, School
- Experience: New Grad Accepted
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in New Mexico
- Preferred: Clear, articulate communication skills
- Ability to explain results to a varied audience
- Candidates with previous school experience a plus!
- Completion of a criminal record and background check
