Physical Therapist (PT) - PRN (Weekday availability)

Job Duties

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and establishes plan of care;
• Evaluates the efficacy of treatment, modifying if necessary;
• Conducts all therapy practice within defined standards of care;
• Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans in accordance with Hospital requirements and established guidelines;
• Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signature;
• Coincides with assigned responsibilities of support staff;
• Coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff;
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress including preparing plan for discharge;
• Creates an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff;
• Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions;
• Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience in inpatient hospital setting, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred;
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist in good standing is required;
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Physical Requirements

• A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time;
• Gross and precise motor functions;
• Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs;
• Exposure to bodily fluids;
• Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care;
• Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment;
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
