Physical Therapist (PT) - PRN

About the role

The PRN Physical Therapist will provide coverage at NHC Farragut and other NHC-owned skilled nursing facilities in the Knoxville area as needed. This position is ideal for a PT who values flexibility and enjoys working with a collaborative rehabilitation team. This PRN opportunity provides the flexibility to work across NHC Farragut and surrounding NHC-owned SNFs in the Knoxville area, while becoming part of a supportive rehabilitation team committed to quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services to residents in the skilled nursing setting.
• Provide coverage when regular therapy partners are on vacation, out sick, or otherwise unavailable.
• Conduct weekend physical therapy evaluations as needed.
• Complete evaluations, treatment, progress notes, and other required documentation in accordance with Medicare and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, therapy staff, residents, and families to support positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of clinical care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Telehealth services may also be requested as needed to support coverage and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• SNF/geriatric experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and medically necessary skilled therapy.
