Physical Therapist (PT) - Pediatrics Outpatient Therapy

About the Role

This role involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages, developing and adjusting personalized care plans based on clinical findings and patient response. The Physical Therapist serves as a professional role model and clinical resource for staff and students, ensuring safe patient transfers and promoting proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design treatment strategies integrating goals, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education using effective methods.
• Perform examinations, select appropriate testing methods, and document care in accordance with policies.
• Evaluate impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions, completing objective assessments of range of motion, strength, and functional tasks.
• Apply therapeutic modalities and use support personnel ethically and effectively.
• Communicate progress and treatment recommendations with referring providers.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, effective communication, empathy, and professionalism.
• Conduct patient assessments, care planning, documentation, and supervision of support staff while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete relevant continuing education for acute stroke care.
