Job Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide one-on-one outpatient physical therapy services to children ages 0-18. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat pediatric patients, develop individualized treatment plans, address developmental and functional goals, and collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals. New graduate Physical Therapists are welcome to apply. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate pediatric patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide skilled, one-on-one physical therapy services.
  • Address strength, balance, coordination, mobility, motor planning, postural control, and gross motor development.
  • Establish measurable functional goals and monitor patient progress.
  • Provide caregiver education and home exercise programs.
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, educators, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for children and families.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Tennessee Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Must be in good standing with the applicable licensing board.
  • Ability to pass a background check to work with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting developmental progress.

Preferred Experience

At least 1 year of pediatric experience is preferred but not required. Pediatric Experience May Include:

  • Outpatient pediatrics
  • Early intervention
  • Pediatric clinical rotations
  • Other pediatric therapy settings
