About the role

Responsible for administering and directing appropriate Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment as prescribed by a qualified physician. Responsible for effective communication and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions focused on mobility, strength, balance, function, and quality of life
  • Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and patient education
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Contributes effectively to designated team(s), Hospital goals and performance improvement activities in order to achieve Hospital mission
  • Provides for a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and coworkers
  • Demonstrates competency in evaluation of all areas that PT is responsible for in an accurate and timely manner
  • Demonstrates safe and effective treatment/management of performance areas with all assigned patients
  • Demonstrates effective and safe use of treatment equipment
  • Consistently communicates to PTA and other clinicians involved in the patient care
  • Consistently communicates with other outside entities directly involved with patient outcomes
  • Demonstrates the ability to efficiently complete all scheduling tasks
  • Consistently completes billing both timely and accurately
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide coverage in inpatient or outpatient therapy

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license or license eligibility
  • Outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Commitment to exceptional patient-centered care

Schedule

  • Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
  • Typical daily schedule of up to 10 patients during an 8-hour workday
  • Consistent scheduling with flexibility to support work-life balance
  • Occasional inpatient weekend coverage (approximately one weekend per month)
