About the role
Responsible for administering and directing appropriate Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment as prescribed by a qualified physician. Responsible for effective communication and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
- Deliver evidence-based interventions focused on mobility, strength, balance, function, and quality of life
- Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and patient education
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Contributes effectively to designated team(s), Hospital goals and performance improvement activities in order to achieve Hospital mission
- Provides for a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and coworkers
- Demonstrates competency in evaluation of all areas that PT is responsible for in an accurate and timely manner
- Demonstrates safe and effective treatment/management of performance areas with all assigned patients
- Demonstrates effective and safe use of treatment equipment
- Consistently communicates to PTA and other clinicians involved in the patient care
- Consistently communicates with other outside entities directly involved with patient outcomes
- Demonstrates the ability to efficiently complete all scheduling tasks
- Consistently completes billing both timely and accurately
- Demonstrates the ability to provide coverage in inpatient or outpatient therapy
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license or license eligibility
- Outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to exceptional patient-centered care

Schedule
- Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
- Typical daily schedule of up to 10 patients during an 8-hour workday
- Consistent scheduling with flexibility to support work-life balance
- Occasional inpatient weekend coverage (approximately one weekend per month)
