Physical Therapist PT - Chicago (AV)

About the role

As a Physical Therapist (PT) at Eyas Landing – Avondale, you will provide physical therapy to children and families in our clinic, clients’ schools and homes. You’ll foster each child’s mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth through:

• Providing individualized and group therapy
• Implementing therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Neuro-Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
• Collaborating daily with occupational and speech therapists and social workers
• Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinic-based pediatric physical therapy within Merlin Day Academy’s integrated educational and therapeutic setting for children ages 6–14 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs
• Provide evidence-based, play-focused interventions that promote motor development and functional independence
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

• Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
• Experience in pediatric physical therapy or related settings
