Responsibilities
- Serves students with various physical and developmental challenges, ranging in age from 3-21 years old.
- Implements treatment plans focusing on functional and measurable outcomes, sharing with the school and/or supervisors as mandated in the student’s Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Consults with other professionals (Teachers, SLP, OT, PCP, etc.) on the student's treatment team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive therapy team.
- Affirms and documents each student’s progress through formal and informal tests and measurements.
- Writes and prepares annual review reports and goals for each student in accordance with their IEP dates and requirements, ensuring compliance with state guidelines.
- Attends all school-related meetings as scheduled, including Triennials, Annual Reviews, Domains, Referrals, IEP, and pre-IEP meetings for each individual student.
- Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled physical therapy intervention relative to the student/client’s level of function within the school environment, covering areas such as school function, range of motion, strength, positioning, contracture management, and conducting home assessments.
Qualifications
- Valid and unencumbered Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
- Qualifying degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Clinical experience with the pediatric population preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.
- Maintains professional attitudes and respect for the school and their staff.
- Treats all students with dignity, compassion, empathy, and respect.
- Proven track record with high volume workloads.

Pay
USD $52.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr. Bonus: USD $3,000.00
