About the role
Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek is a brand-new 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. Responsibilities
- Absorbs responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs.
- Might be assigned to orient staff and students and assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.
- Assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishment of short- and long-term goals. Recommends change to physician, if needed.
- Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient and performs reassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timely QI scoring.
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function of participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate interventions to reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Formulates and updates patient specific plans of care for physical therapy.
- Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching, as appropriate.
- Performs appropriate documentation.
- Reports patient progress and barriers to discharge in each patient team conference.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support/CPR card.

- Education: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
Skills
- Ability to assess patient pain and make appropriate interventions to reduce pain.
- Ability to formulate and update patient-specific plans of care for physical therapy.
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching plans based on identified learning needs.
- Ability to perform appropriate documentation and report patient progress.

Pay
Commensurate with experience.

Part Time, Days Every Monday from 8:00 AM-4:00 PMEvery other Saturday from 8:00 AM-4:00 PMEvery other Sunday from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
