Physical Therapist (PT) at Brooklyn Center

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy to children ages 3-21 in our Brooklyn Center. The ideal candidate will plan and implement therapy sessions, assess students to monitor progress, and suggest carry-over activities. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to develop and implement a therapy plan that aligns with each student’s unique learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement physical therapy sessions based on the student's unique needs and goals.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other related service providers to establish and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Create and maintain an inclusive and adaptive learning environment that meets the needs of diverse learners.
• Facilitate communication between students, families, and educational staff to strengthen support systems.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of educational progress and communicate regularly with the education team.

Requirements

• Physical Therapy License (NYS) (required)
