Physical Therapist PRN - Inpatient

The Institute combines advanced technology, research, and evidence-based clinical care to create an innovative, transdisciplinary model of rehabilitative care. Ranked among the nation’s best rehabilitation hospitals and the top physical rehab provider in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report, we are seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join the inpatient team.

The Physical Therapist provides quality, comprehensive, patient-centered physical therapy services including patient examination (ages 12+), development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation and communication with team members, and clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non-licensed personnel. Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers. May rotate through clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient examination for individuals aged 12 and older.
• Develop and administer treatment plans.
• Document and communicate with team members.
• Provide clinical direction and supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Instruct therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patients/caregivers.
• Rotate through clinical areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program required.
• Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of the Virginia State Board of Health Professions required.
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.
• Doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program and/or specialty practice certification preferred.
• Experience/expertise in inpatient rehabilitation.

Pay

Physical Therapist PRN - $55.00 per hour. These rates reflect our commitment to pay equity and market-competitive compensation. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.
