About the role

A skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist is needed to help clients improve mobility, restore function, and enhance quality of life through comprehensive assessments, personalized treatment plans, and effective therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive evaluations of clients’ physical abilities, mobility, and functional limitations.
  • Develops personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
  • Administers therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other physical interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, and mobility.
  • Provides training in the safe use of assistive devices, prosthetics, or orthotics.
  • Monitors progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Educates clients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and strategies for improved mobility.
  • Documents all assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and agency policies.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Participates in professional development, in-service training, and continuing education as required.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience, preferably in home health, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise principles, rehabilitation techniques, and patient education strategies.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and be free from health conditions that may pose a risk to clients or co-workers.
  • Ability to follow treatment protocols, document accurately, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to improving clients’ quality of life.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes or care facilities as needed.
