About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapist PRN at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of outcomes.
• Provide education on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist
• Bachelor's Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or Heart Saver CPR within 30 days of employment start date

Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for patient care and rehabilitation
