Careers With Purpose joins a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. Located at the GSS NE Beatrice Ctr in Beatrice, NE, this role offers a unique blend of skilled rehabilitation and long-term care.

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and delivers physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
Utilizes tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safety protocols.
Documents client/patient/resident information for evaluation; establishes and modifies therapeutic plans as needed.
Educates clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
Demonstrates and incorporates knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.
Treats individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders.
Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organizations.
Demonstrates flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments.
Participates in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health.
Interacts with individuals outside the department including providers, case managers, third-party payers, public organizations, companies/contractual partners, etc.
May be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.
Provides ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise as determined by department leadership.

Requirements

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
Valid driver's license when applicable.
Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
