Physical Therapist-Part-time Weekends

About the role

Saint Luke's South Rehab Institute is seeking a part-time, weekend Physical Therapist to join our team. This is a 24-hour position located at Saint Luke's Rehabilitation Institute, with hours scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a lead role on Saturday and Sunday, including staffing, checking daily minutes, scheduling, communication with other departments, and responding to staff questions.
• Evaluate and test clients with mechanical, anatomical, physiological impairments, developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or other health and movement-related conditions to determine a prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention.
• Regularly assess the ongoing effects of physical therapy intervention to improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement.
• Evaluate patients after impairment, injury, or disease.
• Create an individualized patient-centered treatment plan based on evidence-based practice and select appropriate interventions based upon evaluation and assessment of patient.
• Re-evaluate and provide periodic reassessment of patient progress and contribute to discharge planning.
• Supervise treatment provided by students and physical therapy assistants.
• Participate and make recommendations for client care interventions to the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Delegate and instruct supportive personnel in services to be provided.
• Perform all other duties as requested by the manager.
• Provide timely documentation per department and/or entity policy and as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements, and physician treatment plan.
• Use professional judgment to ensure safety to self, patients, and others at all times.
• Participate in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Physical Therapist certification (Various)
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Applicable experience: Less than 1 year

Schedule

Part-time, Day shift (United States of America), 24 hours per week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with holiday requirements.
