Job Summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (HPMC) is an acute‑care facility serving the Hollywood community and surrounding areas since 1924. Responsibilities

• Evaluate referred patients to assess medical condition, functional limitations, restrictions, and complaints.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals based on the patient’s capacity and tolerance, under the Medical Director’s supervision.
• Perform written evaluations of new physical therapy patients and reassess ongoing patients.
• Develop, adjust, and document patient treatment plans.
• Create objective, measurable goals with defined time frames.
• Provide patient, family, and community education.
• Deliver rehabilitative physical therapy care to inpatients and outpatients, including modality/exercise treatments, wound care, mobility, and gait training.
• Document progress notes, flow sheets, and charts in accordance with department guidelines, Medicare, Workers’ Compensation, and other payor requirements.
• Prepare written discharge assessment notes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an APTA‑approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid California Physical Therapist License.
• Eligibility for membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and adherence to its code of ethics.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of employment).
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of employment).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience: 0–2 years; experienced candidates preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

Pay

Salary: $62 – $72 per hour.

Schedule

• Employment type: Part‑time (FTE 0.3).
• Shift: Days.
• Hours: 8 hours per day (8:00 am – 4:30 pm).
• Weekly/Bi‑weekly hours: Varied (8 hr – 24 hr).
• Location: Los Angeles, California.
