Physical Therapist - Part-time

About the Role

This position involves evaluating and treating patients primarily in Rehab and LTAC hospitals. The therapist is responsible for initial and discharge assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting progress in the EMR. Additional duties include educating patients, families, and staff, communicating patient progress in clinical conferences, collaborating with the healthcare team, preparing equipment orders, liaising with vendors, and coordinating with outside physicians and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, set goals, and develop treatment plans.
• Deliver optimal, timely therapy to meet functional goals.
• Identify educational needs and provide PRN therapy.
• Participate as an interdisciplinary team member.
• Serve as a clinical instructor/mentor for interns.
• Engage in hospital and discipline-specific skills assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Rehab, SNF, LTACH, or Acute care preferred.
• Active GA PT license or eligibility and BLS certification.
• Basic computer literacy required.
