Clinic hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
About the role
Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network, Connecticut’s premier rehabilitation provider, is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist (PT) for its Stratford outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will deliver multi-faceted care for patients with orthopedic, neurologic, headache, back/neck pain, gait/balance, and vestibular conditions. Functional-based exercise and activity approaches are emphasized, including manual therapy and modalities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate patients and determine treatment strategies.
- Deliver or delegate services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction.
- Apply therapeutic techniques including physical and chemical agents, exercise, and other procedures to maximize patient functional independence.
- Assess strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait, and functional abilities in activities of daily living.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited American Physical Therapy Association program with a BS, master’s, or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Active or temporary Connecticut PT license.
- Current CPR certification.
