Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics

Role Overview

Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver comprehensive physical therapy services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning, across diverse settings. The therapist will collaborate with healthcare professionals, modify care plans based on patient progress, and ensure accurate documentation of all activities. Additionally, they will participate in program development, mentor staff and students, and promote patient-centered care through effective communication and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, review history, conduct assessments, and communicate findings to patients and families.
• Implement treatment protocols tailored to patient needs, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring thorough documentation of patient progress and care activities.
• Manage time efficiently, maintain a flexible and patient-focused approach, and support a team environment.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and serve as a clinical instructor and mentor for staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong communication, customer service, and clinical skills, with proficiency in evaluation and treatment approaches.
