Physical Therapist - Outpatient Neuro

About the Role

A licensed Physical Therapist responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy services across various settings. The therapist conducts evaluations, develops and implements treatment plans, reassesses patient progress, and manages discharge planning and documentation. They collaborate with healthcare teams, modify care based on patient condition changes, and ensure accurate, timely records. The role also involves participating in program planning, protocol development, and mentoring staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, interpret findings, and communicate results to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols, consult with other professionals, and adapt plans as needed.
• Complete discharge and follow-up care, documenting care activities comprehensively.
• Manage time effectively, maintain productivity, and deliver patient-centered care with flexibility and empathy.
• Pursue continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor or mentor to staff and students.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) from an accredited program.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia, as required by location.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
