Role Overview
A licensed Physical Therapist provides comprehensive physical therapy services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and discharge planning. They communicate effectively with patients and families, tailor treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation: Review history, perform assessments, and communicate findings with patients and families.
- Treatment: Implement protocols, adjust plans as needed, and consult with team members.
- Discharge & Documentation: Complete discharge planning, document care activities accurately, and ensure timely reporting.
- Professional Development: Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor staff and students.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- State licensure (MD, DC, VA) and CPR certification.
- Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in evaluation, treatment protocols, and documentation in diverse settings.
