About the role

The Physical Therapist manages and provides skilled physical therapy to patients/clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs. Requires skills in patient/client evaluation and treatment, as well as professional consultations to achieve maximum patient/client independence in accordance with the individual functional level and potential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide skilled physical therapy to patients/clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities.
  • Evaluate and treat patients/clients to achieve maximum independence in accordance with their functional level and potential.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and document progress in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients/clients and their families regarding physical therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • D.P.T. from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • Coursework/Training: Occasional specialized physical therapy training to meet department needs.
  • Oregon Physical Therapist License upon hire.
  • Washington Physical Therapist License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association License.

Qualifications

  • Occasionally requires specialized physical therapy experience to meet department needs.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in computer software used for documentation and treatment planning.
