Physical Therapist or Sr. PT - Galveston, Acute Only

About the role

This is an open-pooled position. Applicants' education and experience will be considered and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level as appropriate. The role is based at the John Sealy Annex in Galveston, Texas, with a standard day shift schedule.

Physical Therapist — Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy, or Doctoral degree from an accredited program
• Zero (0) years' related experience required
• Texas PT licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (TBPTE)
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification approved by the American Heart Association

Physical Therapist — Responsibilities

• Direct the evaluation, development, coordination, and implementation of physical therapy intervention provided to patients
• Provide physical therapy services under the guidelines set by the Practice Act and Rules of the Texas Board of Physical Therapy
• Serve as a patient advocate assuring the delivery of physical therapy meets legal, ethical, and institutional standards
• Adhere to the philosophy, objectives, guidelines, policies, and procedures of the department and the organization

Senior Physical Therapist — Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Licensed or eligible for license in the State of Texas
• Five years' related experience

Senior Physical Therapist — Responsibilities

• Direct the evaluation, development, coordination, and implementation of physical therapy intervention provided to patients
• Serve as a patient advocate assuring the delivery of physical therapy meets legal, ethical, and institutional standards
