Physical Therapist - Inpatient - Presbyterian Hospital

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
• Evaluates and treats infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions.
• Addresses motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, etc.
• Interviews children and family members, using physical examination to diagnose movement disorders.
• Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
• Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
• Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
• Floats to adult units if needed if pediatric patient census fluctuates.
• Evaluates and treats pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old, regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
• Works in settings including inpatient, inpatient emergency department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• New Mexico Physical Therapy License required or New Mexico Physical Therapy provisional/temporary license accepted.
• Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
• BLS required at time of hire.

Compensation Pay Range Minimum Offer $39.15 Maximum Offer $59.77
