Position Summary
The Physical Therapist conducts physical therapy programs across acute, subacute, and outpatient settings to restore function and prevent disability caused by disease, injury, or loss of a body part. They ensure adherence to professional and ethical standards, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with compassion and advanced technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aligned with best practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Progress patients safely and effectively to optimize outcomes.
- Provide discharge planning, including patient education, home exercise programs, and recommendations.
- Cook up with staff, participate in team training, and assist in departmental improvements.
- Maintain thorough documentation, uphold professionalism, and ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Supervise and guide students and technicians, demonstrating leadership.
- Manage caseloads efficiently and adapt to various clinical environments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee and graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program.
- Experience in patient care delivery and proficiency with standard equipment and technology.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, with manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle physical demands, including lifting, transferring, and maneuvering patients and equipment safely.
