Physical Therapist - Inpatient Acute Care
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, has an opportunity for an Inpatient Physical Therapist to use the latest techniques and technologies to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in our Inpatient Acute Care Unit.
About the role
The Physical Therapist will collaborate with providers to treat patients in a hospital setting, conducting evaluations, performing treatments, and providing recommendations to improve mobility and prepare for discharge.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates, directs, plans, and treats to help clients achieve maximum functional independence.
- Works in a fast-paced environment with ongoing collaboration and communication with staff, patients, and families.
- Develops and carries out techniques and modalities to provide individualized treatment aligned with established goals.
- Modifies treatment plans and goals due to changes in client status and capabilities.
- Provides clear and concise information regarding client status to patients, families, treatment teams, and other professionals.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
- Current State of CT license.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including explaining clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to clients and their families.
