Job Summary
This position is part of the Healthlink at our Westover location. Up to $20,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience. Responds to physician orders for physical therapy. Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients. Reviews patient charts and progress prior to treatment and modifies the treatment plan accordingly. Develops functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations. Develops, improves, and restores functional mobility, seeking to return patient to highest level of independence. Seeks clarification of physician orders as needed.
Responsibilities
- Interprets physician orders and requests interpretation as necessary
- Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients
- Reviews patient chart and progress prior to treatment and modifies the treatment plan accordingly
- Develops realistic functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations
- Uses appropriate modalities and procedures correctly demonstrating knowledge of indications and contraindications
Qualifications
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: No previous work experience necessary. After completion of 3 full years/beginning of 4th year may be eligible for Physical Therapist Level II.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as marketing and business familiarity. Spanish Proficiency
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
- NEW GRADUATES: Possession of current Texas State license prior to orientation.
- ALL OTHERS: Possession of current Texas State license.

- REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
