Physical Therapist I

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy evaluations.
• Demonstrates technical skill and accuracy in performing basic evaluation procedures.
• Performs physical therapy treatment planning and implementation.
• Utilizes appropriate interventions, procedures & equipment as defined by specialty area.
• Provides patient/family education and training.
• Provides peer reviews and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Completes documentation based on department guidelines.
• Initiates discharge planning.
• Continuing education: attends 20 hours per year, provides 1 hour of inservice education to staff per year.
• Provides observation experience/lecture to students.
• Participates in orienting, teaching, guiding and evaluating assistive personnel.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BACHELOR'S LVL DGRE Required

Skills

• Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification in Physical Therapy rehab settings.
• CPR certification.
