About the Role

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team. Under the supervision of the Department Leader or designee, and indirectly to all referring physicians, the staff PT is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatments/modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of function while teaching them how to live within the limits of their capabilities.
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (PTA’s, rehabilitation techs, etc.).
• Participate in operational aspects of the department, including performance improvement activities, CQI activities, budget monitoring, and ensuring accurate and timely patient charges.
• Engage in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.
