Physical Therapist - Full Time (Greensboro)

About the Role

This position is assigned to the Rehabilitation Clinic in Greensboro and involves the administration of physical therapy services and procedures according to clinic policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients using appropriate tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem, level of function, and recommended treatment or discharge plan.
• Promotes and applies knowledge of patient care protocols tailored to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Establishes physical therapy interventions based on evaluations, physician orders, and patient goals.
• Competently performs appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures.
• Ensures continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other healthcare professionals.
• Recommends and assists with the acquisition of necessary patient care equipment prior to discharge.
• Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.
• Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.
• Instructs patients and family members in home programs.
• Demonstrates effective time management and complies with quality improvement standards.
• Participates in organizational committees as assigned.
• Contributes to the training of affiliated physical therapy/physical therapist assistant (PT/PTA) students.
• Performs duties that may require exposure to blood, fluids, and tissue (OSHA Category I).
• Works prescheduled and/or voluntary weekends.
