About the role
The Senior Physical Therapist provides leadership, guidance, and support to rehab staff, designing and implementing patient treatment plans aligned with professional standards. They assess patients, deliver therapy, and evaluate progress to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and directs rehab team, assists in staffing, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Performs initial patient assessments, develops treatment plans, and administers therapy activities to improve mobility, self-care, and functional independence.
- Monitors patient progress, documents responses, and modifies treatments accordingly.
- Provides education to patients and families, addressing learning needs and evaluating educational effectiveness.
- Acts as a resource for staff, resolves issues, and ensures compliance with policies and standards.
- Maintains professional growth through self-development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in Tennessee.
- Strong knowledge of current therapy practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently, organize multiple tasks, and demonstrate compassion and cultural sensitivity.
