Physical Therapist - Full-time

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapists (PTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.
• Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participating in discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment placement.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and PT and PTA students.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
• Moderating patient responses to treatment during sessions, as necessary.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Pay

Up to $54.00/hr., based on years of experience. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is also available.
