About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Pensacola is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. Physical Therapists (PT) are integral in offering compassionate, high-quality treatment throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

  • Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement.
  • Teaching and counseling patients/families.
  • Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
  • Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
  • Participating in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
  • Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising PT and PTA students.
  • Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
  • Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions, as needed.
  • Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
  • Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in acute care settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and protocols.

Skills

  • Proficient in computer software used in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

Pay

$38.64-52.00 per hour depending on years of experience.

Schedule

Mon - Fri, 8 hour shifts, weekend rotation.

Sign-on Bonus

$10,000 sign-on bonus.
