About the role

Plans, organizes, and delivers physical therapy programs to help clients recover and improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions for individuals affected by injury or disease, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques while following safeguards. Documents evaluations, establishes and modifies therapeutic plans, and educates clients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises. Applies age-related treatments and incorporates current research into daily care. May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders. Demonstrates documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meets regulatory requirements. Interacts with providers, case managers, third-party payers, and other external parties. May supervise assistants, aides, and students, and provide ongoing education and training to peers. Performs other duties as requested by management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical therapy examinations, evaluations, and interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and modify therapeutic plans as necessary.
  • Educate clients and families about treatment plans and home exercises.
  • Apply age-appropriate treatments and utilize current research in care.
  • Document client information and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Interact with external parties such as providers, case managers, and third-party payers.
  • Supervise assistants, aides, and students, and provide peer training as needed.
  • Participate in activities promoting the department and organization.
  • Exhibit flexibility with variable work schedules and assignments.

Requirements

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.

Pay

Salary range: $37.50 - $62.00 per hour. $10,000 sign-on bonus (eligibility requirements apply).

Schedule

  • Full time
  • 8-hour day shifts
  • 40 hours per week
