About the role
As a Physical Therapist at Samaritan Hospital-Inpatient Acute, you will provide direct patient care, integrating elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions to maximize patients' functional outcomes. You will document treatments and progress according to professional and department policies while functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team. Patient populations include those with primary diagnoses of CVA, SCI, LE Amputation, Orthopedics, and Cardiopulmonary conditions.
Responsibilities
- Formulate comprehensive treatment programs by evaluating patient’s past medical history, disease/condition, impairments, disability, and functional/developmental status.
- Prioritize patient care needs.
- Accurately assess patient’s rehab needs through the continuum of care and provide appropriate disposition, equipment, education, and treatment recommendations in a timely manner.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory, and facility's corporate compliance standards.
- Ensure all clinical and payer-required documentation is concise, pertinent, legible, and meets organizational requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s degree, or Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Current NYS Physical Therapy license and registration.
- Inpatient acute Physical Therapist experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
Pay range: $43.73–$56.58 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary based on location.
