Physical Therapist - Contingent - Genesys Hospital

General Summary

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Primarily in Rehab, but some crossover to Inpatient therapy is possible.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and on-going assessments of patients’ conditions.
• Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of each patient.
• Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

Education/Experience

• Physical Therapist bachelor degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program

Certifications/Licenses

• Current State of Michigan licensure.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross.
• Obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
