Responsibilities
- Evaluation: Conduct assessments and screen children individually. Communicate results as directed and assist in determining adaptive equipment and assistive technology needs.
- Treatment: Provide individual therapy to maintain or enhance speech and language abilities, feeding and pre-feeding skills, and develop programs to support these outcomes. Facilitate parental education and support.
- Communications: Maintain effective relationships with staff, agencies, and families. Keep daily progress notes, submit timesheets, and participate in case conferences and staff meetings.
- General Responsibilities: Ensure the health and safety of children, serve as a role model, advocate, and participant in training. Provide evaluations in various settings, contribute to IFSP development, and provide reports to families and professionals.
Qualifications
- Education: Licensed Registered Physical Therapist in the State of Indiana.
- Experience: One year of experience working with the pediatric population preferred.
- Job Knowledge: Ability to communicate with staff, establish relationships, provide developmental outcomes, be creative, work independently, and use sound judgment.
- Additional: Currently registered/licensed with the Health Professions Bureau of Indiana, valid driver’s license, enrolled as a First Steps provider, and capable of lifting a child weighing up to 50 pounds with adaptive equipment.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.
