About the role

We are Regency Prineville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, a skilled nursing community located in the heart of beautiful Prineville, OR. We are seeking a caring and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, organize, and administer physical therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Maintain informative, accurate, and timely documentation and records management, working collaboratively with all disciplines.
  • Adhere to the professional standards of practice guidelines and code of ethics as set forth by the state board of physical therapy.
  • Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants by providing periodic training and guidance as required.
  • Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives.
  • Prepare such records and reports as may be required.
  • Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals.
  • Ensure safe and timely patient care.
  • Develop realistic and documented treatment goals that comply with and satisfy the intent of the referring medical staff.
  • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
  • Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
  • Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems.
  • Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  • Evaluate, fit, and adjust the patient’s prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Cook with other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in a treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care.
  • Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently possess a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy institution or possess a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist in the state in which you are employed.
