About the role

Kauai Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Waimea on the west side of Kauai. Our mission is to provide compassionate care and support to our residents and their families, fostering a sense of community and family within our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, organize, and administer physical therapy services according to current standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records management.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and medical providers to develop personalized recovery plans.
  • Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants by providing training and guidance.
  • Provide therapeutic procedures and patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Develop realistic treatment goals and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluations.
  • Administer manual exercises and instruct patients in various physical activities.
  • Record treatment, responses, and progress in patient charts and automated systems.
  • Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  • Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed.
  • Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns as required.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Prior to employment, possess a current, unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist in the state of Hawaii.

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
