- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provides physician prescribed physical therapy.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and functional training.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
- Document all care in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain knowledge of evidence-based practices and current treatment guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff as appropriate.
- Maintain HIPAA complaint and follow policies pertaining to PHI.
- Must work collaboratively as a team to ensure patient satisfaction and continuity of patient care.
- Ensures a safe environment for both inpatient and outpatient patients.
- Affords assistance with our acute swing bed patients and assessing their needs.
