About the role
The Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to residents.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with a focus on achieving and maintaining maximum functioning.
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals with complex chronic medical conditions.
- Provide specialized expertise in geriatric and neurologic physical therapy, with a focus on progressive neurological conditions.
- Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a long-term care environment preferred.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
- Specialized expertise in geriatric and neurologic physical therapy, with a focus on progressive neurological conditions.
- Demonstrated passion and clinical proficiency in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals with complex chronic medical conditions.
- Experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications must be met.
- Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check.
- A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
- May undergo employment reference checks.
