About the role

The Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to residents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with a focus on achieving and maintaining maximum functioning.
• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals with complex chronic medical conditions.
• Provide specialized expertise in geriatric and neurologic physical therapy, with a focus on progressive neurological conditions.
• Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a long-term care environment preferred.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
• Specialized expertise in geriatric and neurologic physical therapy, with a focus on progressive neurological conditions.
• Demonstrated passion and clinical proficiency in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals with complex chronic medical conditions.
• Experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications must be met.
• Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check.
• A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
• May undergo employment reference checks.
