About the role
You'll provide compassionate, culturally grounded care to American Indian and Alaska Natives, addressing social and emotional needs that affect health. Work with a dedicated team to strengthen wellness, resilience, and community well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to American Indian and Alaska Native patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment programs.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives.
Requirements
- A current license to practice physical therapy in at least one state.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting.
- Cultural competency training and experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with diverse populations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for improving the health and well-being of underserved communities.
Skills
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using medical software and documentation systems.
- Experience with telehealth and remote patient care.
