About the role
You'll provide compassionate, culturally grounded care to American Indian and Alaska Natives, addressing social and emotional needs that affect health. Work with a dedicated team to strengthen wellness, resilience, and community well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to American Indian and Alaska Native patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assess patient needs and develop treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- A valid State license to practice physical therapy.
- Experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native populations preferred.
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse communities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to physical therapy.
