Responsibilities
- Help Manage and direct the Physical Therapy department including strategic planning, policy formulation, budget management.
- Promote training needs of all direct care staff to ensure staff development and competency.
- Provide quality physical therapy evaluation and treatment to impatient and outpatients of all ages with a wide variety of diagnostic conditions requiring rehabilitative services.
- Provide expert professional consultation to department personnel, medical staff within the assigned Service Unit.
- Plan and carry out a full range of physical therapy treatments.
Requirements
- This is a competitive vacancy announcement advertised under Delegated Examining Authority. Selections made under this vacancy announcement will be processed as new appointments to the civil service.
- This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
- The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
Qualifications
- A Graduate Or Higher Level Degree That Included A physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained; andCompletion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
- Licensure For all grade levels and positions, applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
