About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Physical Therapist role based in San Francisco, CA and Alameda, CA. We are looking for a clinician who is deeply passionate about helping others and dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver hands-on therapy and rehabilitative exercises aligned with Healthwell’s holistic philosophy
  • Guide patients through Pilates-based and neuromuscular re-training programs
  • Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document care in accordance with clinical standards
  • Expand clinical specialized knowledge, particularly in hypermobility conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)
  • Provide patient education on body awareness, self-management strategies, and prevention techniques
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate care and maintain a supportive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for helping others and building meaningful patient relationships
  • A strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Demonstrated skills in patient care, including education on exercises, safety, and self-management strategies
  • Knowledge of medical principles relevant to musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain management conditions
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Interest or willingness to learn about hypermobility spectrum disorders, such as EDS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and engage patients in their treatment plans
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a full-time on-site caseload
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent accredited degree; prior outpatient or orthopedic experience is a plus
