Physical Therapist

About the role

The Physical Therapist at St. Rose Dominican San Martin will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities include performing evaluations/re-evaluations, developing and updating individualized plans of care, and providing a variety of direct treatments. The role requires strong competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations/re-evaluations, discharge summaries progressing patients toward goals and accurately documents results written/electronically on inpatients/outpatients and home environment according to SRDH and physical therapy practice standards.
• Performs appropriate treatment which may include, but not limited to proper use of modalities and therapeutic procedures to maximize functional skills toward independence.
• Selects appropriate treatment methods which include proper modalities and therapeutic procedures.
• Recognizes patient's concerns of how their medical condition may impact their socioeconomic situation.

Requirements

• Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of a valid license in good standing, enabling them to practice as an Physical Therapist in the State of Nevada.
• BLS- American Heart Association

Preferred

• 1 year of hospital based, acute care practice.
• Completed post graduate education, or possesses certification or CEU's in acute care, geriatrics, wound care, orthopaedics, pediatrics, NICU & neurology or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars.
• Advanced experience with computer software programs and clinical documentation in Hospital based practice.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $45.26 - $67.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
