Job Responsibilities
- Optimize patient functionality by providing, directing, and/or overseeing physical therapy services, including screening, evaluation, and treatment as referred by an approved referral source.
- Comply with state and federal guidelines related to accurate and timely documentation and billing within the medical record.
- Establish and maintain effective, patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
- Refer patients for treatment to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and provide consultation and clinical supervision.
- Directly supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs in accordance with State Practice Acts, OBRA requirements, and policies.
- Participate in utilization review, care conferences, case management, administrative meetings, and interdisciplinary team activities.
- Develop and enhance physical therapy programs, techniques, and services to support quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights policies.
- Enhance clinical expertise through continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain valid state licensure and remain informed of developments within the profession and healthcare environment.
- Understand and apply relevant payment models and treatment guidelines to ensure clinically appropriate service delivery.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the facility and patient information.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited school of physical therapy.
- Valid state Physical Therapist license.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.
