Job Summary

The staff physical therapist is responsible for evaluating patients' physical conditions and needs, designing and implementing corrective treatment plans, assessing patient progress, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate medical records, supervising P.T. assistants, and participating in departmental quality improvement activities.

Department Scope of Service

The Physical Therapy department in Rehabilitation Services provides timely and accurate assessments and treatment programs for inpatient and outpatient clients as ordered by the medical staff and/or as defined in departmental policies. Services are provided for all patient populations including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, adhering to the professional standards of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of accredited P.T. program
  • Experience: Previous experience in acute care preferred, entry level acceptable
  • Licensure/Certification: State of Vermont license required, temporary license acceptable on entry
  • CPR certification required

The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
